BUSINESS OFFICE - We hope the following had wonderful vacations: Mike Hogan, Mildred Burney, Saundra Crockett, Kathy Hasslock, Jennie Sawick, Kay Fowler, Frank Gaeddert, Janice Frost, Joy Idler. Marilyn Kazcka is leaving SJH to live in Texas, and Ruth Turner went to work for the government. CENTRAL SERVICE - Henrietta Kasch will be spending her vacation at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Ethel Wheatley is enjoying three weeks at Mazatlan, Mexico. EEG & EKG � Josie Pino of EKG is spending her vacation roaming in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Disneyland, and Las Vegas�no doubt having a ball! HOUSEKEEPING - Mrs. Clara King, h.k. supervisor, and husband are vacationing in Kansas and Texas; James Helman, custodian, is spending his vacation in Pennsylvania; and Marvin Dews, custodian, is visiting relatives in California. Bernie Hawkins, Eloise Gamble, and Bertha Aguirre, all h.k. aides, spent vacations resting at home; as did Frank Paiz, custodian, and Mrs. Feme Pasco, h.k. supervisor. Mrs. Mary Padilla, h.k. convent aide, took a week's vacation to do some fishing at Flaming Gorge. Walentyna Miskiev has returned to work following a leave of absence. Mrs. Le Anna Shepherd, h.k. aide, spent her vacation in Texas. INHALATION THERAPY - We welcome Mrs. Ethel Smith as the 3-11 relief supervisor; also, Gary Lea- man, a certified therapist from Iowa. Don Oliver, a transfer from housekeeping is our new orderly. Mrs. Menogan returned from a brief trip to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. LAUNDRY - Leta Duran went to Salt Lake City and Mexico on her vacation. Welcome to Jess Casteo. Happy birthday on Labor Day to Adelaide Archu- leta. LABORATORY - Dr. Jon Boline, Blood Bank direc- tor, and Sandy Harrison and Ruth Thayer of the Blood Bank staff attended the annual meeting of the American Association of Blood Banks in Washington, D.C. Rita Albright, Lab evening clerk, moved inj^^ her new home in Montbello recently. Lab personnl^r vacationed in all sorts of interesting places: Dr. Holyoke went mountain climbing in Colorado and fishing off Vancouver Island in Canada; Dr. J. Pope to Glacier National Park; Kathy Farrel to Disney- land; Sue Huber to Las Vegas, Nevada; Mary Lou Lane to Seattle; Marcia Hassemer, Jeanne Ewan, and Linda Petersen�all to California; Betty Sanders to family reunions in Kansas; Sue Rambo to Pennsyl- vania; Kathy Lesseg to Portland, Oregon; Sharon Dickey to Minnesota; and Judy Dondanville to Greece. MAINTENANCE - Merel Watkins returned to boiler room duty after surgery. Welcome to Eugene Jeppson, new engineer in plant engineering. Al Fossett vaca- tioned in the upper midwest; Lee Matlock and Bob Lee were vacationing. Four rooms in post partum have a new look, plus supplemental heat. MEDICAL EDUCATION - Dr. Robert Bender is now the chief OB/GYN resident. Dr. Alvin Miller was awarded a 300-hour teenage volunteer worker pin by the Candy Stripers at their awards banquet�we feel that Dr. Miller is the "outstanding teenager" in th^^ medical education department too! ^^ MEDICAL RECORDS - Farewell to Leann Squires who is moving to California; and welcome to Bernice Macripo and Judy Gould. OUTPATIENT - Congratulations to Linda Harlin, recipient of the Dist. 20 C.N.A. scholarship-she will finish her R.N. training at Community College next spring. John Schobron lost his appendix in our illus- trious O.R. September 4, 1972-he's recuperating at home. PATIENT & FAMILY COUNSELING - We are happy to welcome Vicki Upah, social worker; and Willa Whatley, our new secretary. SURGERY AND RECOVERY - Vacationers: Rose- mary McLean, R.N. surgery, visited her family in San Francisco; Jay Nevious, orderly, went to Eldo- rado Springs; Janice Allen, R.N., and Jean Bradley, R.N., went home to Wisconsin; Jackie Hauser, recov- ery room secretary, vacationed in Minnesota�she and her husband caught 36 crappies, the first fish they had ever caught; Jan Leberer, R.N. recovery room, is, vacationing in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Ernie Rael, nu aide recovery room, vacationed in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland�and came back through Reno; Lucille Batson spent her vacation at home.
