Where'd the mountains go?
We Need Your Help
Now you see them, now you don't. These shots
from the 11th floor of Saint Joseph Hospital
graphically illustrate what happens when smog hits
our formerly fair city.
. . . proclaims the display in the Hospital lobby of
our Surgery/Outpatient building plans. The drive
for funds to finance this $5,000,000 structure
reaches out to all members of the community. We
are most grateful to the employees who have
pledged about $12,500 to date. Our physicians, our
Executive Council, our patients, industries and
businesses, and our visitors have also been given
a special opportunity to participate. Why not stop
for a few minutes and look over the display and
brochures that explain our "Plans for a Second
Century of Service?"
Sisters here for summer
We would like to welcome these sisters who are
part of the Saint Joseph staff this summer: Sister
Catherine Marie, patient visitor; Sister Ann Teresa,
outpatient; Sister Marcellina, surgery; and Sister
Marie Bernard, nursing service. Thank all of you
for your help.
THE ECOLOGY COMMITTEE would like to remind
everyone, once again, of the car pool information
service established to help fight air pollution and
our over-crowed parking lots. Call extension 2154,
and you will receive the names of employees in
your area. The Committee is sponsoring a news-
paper drive Wednesday, July 28. Please bring your
papers to the Humboldt street 3-to-11-shiftparking
lot, and deposit them in a pickup that will be
parked there. And look for the displays by the Com-
mittee on the bulletin board throughout July.
