Highlight of the festivities was "Informal Por- traits of the Sisters," presented by Dr. Alfred Hicks, II and composed by Ken Scott, Medical Illustrator. Excerpts of Ken Scott's poetic sketches of our Sisters are included below for your enjoyment. Sister Mary Andrew Our smiling leader. A paragon of delight. The sparkplug in the engine, thatmakesthe fuel light. Sister Michael Marie We're going to have candy canes this year In the shape of dollar signs. Thus, Sister Michael Marie has spoke. Quote, my motto is "Money ain't no Joke". She'll never say "Let 'em eat Cake" , you know, Cause it keeps her jumpin' just watchin the Dough. Sister Mary Josepha Somber of mood, deep of frown, Mama don't allow no happy sound. She is Dean of the Nursing School, Here, harsh discipline is the Rule! I think that you all will agree That this definitely, absolutely, Positively Just Ain't She! Sister Mary Teresita Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder where you are. On the tenth floor or the Ground? My, you sure do get around! Zipping here, zipping there, Doesn't matter where you are... You're our favorite shooting star! Sister Mary de Paul When Irish eyes are smilin' Sure, an' it's yours they'll be. Where the letters are a' pilin' 'tis plain for all to see There's that little bit of Ireland And where our hearts will be! Sister Rose Michael "She walks in Beauty", as the poet writes, Sacristan of the Chapel, in its glowing lights. As the sun wakes-up the colors, they almost sing aloud, ^^ They are muted, rich and deeply with the passing of a ^^ cloud Yes, she walks in beauty, does our Sister Rose In this place of beauty and contemplative repose. Sister Mary Asella World traveler, Distinquished. Delightful to meet. Known as the Duchess of Franklin Street. You could regally wear, with style, I think, Regal garments of platinum mink. But, Dear lady, I'm sure you'll agree The Mini-habit is not for thee! Sister Ann Perpetua 4,000 tons of food later, see, here is our beloved Maitre -dee. For Parties, Patients and Personnel The greatest of grub done cunningly well. Plus an extra helping of charity To create a cohesive Auxiliary. Sister Mary Christopher Behind that dimpled smile, a master mechanic lurks, With a borrowed hairpin her hand she quickly works To repair a movie projector, or perhaps to bring a ray Of sunshi ne into a sluggish mass of gray. (Brain cells, that is.) ri
