� HOSPITAL "MATCHES" FOR 16 NEW INTERNS SAINT JOSEPH HOSPITAL-THROUGH THE NATIONAL MATCHING PROGRAM-HAS MATCH- ED FOR SIXTEEN INTERNS FOR THE COMING YEAR, MEETING THE HOSPITAL'S FULL QUOTA. REPRESENTING DIFFERENT UNI- VERSITIES FROM THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES, THE INTERNS WILL BEGIN ARRIV- ING SOMETIME IN JUNE. WE WELCOME ALL OF THESE NEW DOCTORS TO SAINT JOSEPH! <, <, p ft a a a a ADMINISTRATOR "SHARING" FACTS WITH EMPLOYEES On Tuesday Sister Mary Andrew, Administrator, began meeting with groups of the interested employees to share with them some of the facts about Saint Joseph Hospital and also the future plans. These "standing" meetings are being held in the 12th floor boiler room- which has been renamed the Planning Room. All employees have been invited through indivi- dual invitations to join with Sister Mary Andrew in sur- veying the current status of the Hospital, and future predictions, and to learn why the employees are so im- portant in the maintaining of quality care. If, for any reason, you did not receive an invita- tion and are interested in attending, please check with your Supervisor or the Department Director. The ses- sions will continue through the fourth week of March. He died in 461 EXCITED STUDENTS TO RECEIVE CAPS - ' Counting the days to "Capping" are some" 84 excited freshman student nurses who will receive their caps at a special ceremony on Saturday, March IS. The impressive Capping Ceremony-which is be- ing held on the Feast of Saint. Joseph-will take place in the Hospital's Sacred Heart Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Father Sievers will be. the guest speaker. Relatives of the stu- dents being honored will be in attendance. f U HI. I HH K �) TOR/ ABOUT � WPLOYK IB OF SAINT JOBIPH HOBF1TAL No 9 March 1967 400 ATTEND PHYSICAL MEDICINE OPEN HOUSE Approximately 400 people, including personnel from Saint. Joseph Hospital and other hospitals in the area, attended the Physical Medicine Department Open House on February 22nd. They saw not only one of the best equipped physical medicine departments in the Rocky Mountain area but were given demonstrations by. the physical therapists of how this equipment is used in patient rehabilitation. � Attractive looking and efficiently planned the department is now giving more treatments with fewer patients having to wait. About 200 patients are treated daily. During the Open House the eight physical ther- apists wore their new outfits which consist of blue cu- lottes and white blouses. The department, located on ground floor, in- cludes 15 treatment rooms, a large gymnasium, exercise room, hydrotherapy section,' two occupational therapy areas, patients' lounge and an area for patients confined to a wheel chair or crutches. On four center a i6-bed extended care-rehabilitation area will be opened soon.. SMILE, YOU'RE ON TV-Carol March, Physical Therapist, demonstrates for both the employees attend- ing the Physical Medicine open house and a cameraman from Channel 2, how the parallel bars located in the new gymnasium are used.
