Robert Irwin Named Architectural Consultant
Saint Joseph Hospital's famed twin
towers, the Surgery and Ambulatory
Care addition, new laboratory and
the Radiology/Cardiovascular
center now under construction all
began on architect Robert G. Irwin's
drawing board.
An architect for 22 years, Mr. Irwin
has been closely associated with
every phase of construction at Saint
Joseph. Now, he will expand that
association after accepting the
position as architectural consultant
for the Health Services Corporation,
Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. In
his new job, Mr. Irwin also will work
with the other seven Sisters of
Charity of Leavenworth hospitals,
including St. James Community
Hospital, Butte, Montana; St.
Vincent's Hospital, Billings,
Montana; St. John's Hospital and
Health Center, Santa Monica,
California; St. Mary's Hospital and
Medical Center, Grand Junction,
Colorado; DePaul Hospital,
Cheyenne, Wyoming; St. Francis
Hospital, Topeka, Kansas and St.
John Hospital, Leavenworth,
Kansas.
When away from the blueprints,
Irwin is a prize-winning tennis player
and enjoys fishing and skiing. His
wife, Liz, is a former president of the
Saint Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, and
now works at the desk in the Family
Waiting Room. The Irwins have two
children, William and Mary.
