Extra Clothing Needed Have you heard of the Elvis Presley Burning Love Memorial Clothing Boutique? If s located in the Emergency Department and is used to outfit patients whose clothing has been cut off or destroyed. The boutique is in desperate need of loose fitting and warm clothes. Sweatshirts and sweat pants, footwear, socks and coats are especially needed. Articles that are not suitable for the Hospital are donated to local charities so nothing is wasted. If you have any questions, please call Nancy Allison, propri- etress, at extension, 7240. Don't Forget to Donate During the Holidays ~ The number of blood donors typically decreases during the months of December and January. During the holiday season please remember the patients and make an effort to donate blood. The Hospital employee blood drive is Thursday, December 30 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If your schedule does not permit you to donate blood on that day, please call extension 7193 to arrange a more conve- nient time to donate. Donors still are needed for cancer patients. Please consider becoming an apheresis donor for 1994. The donor room has a state-of-the-art Cobe Apheresis machine which decreases the donor time and yields higher numbers of platelets per donor. Call Jean Mullen at extension 7424 to find out more about this special program. Fourteen people attended the December 3 Employee Appreciation Lunch sponsored by the President's Council in the Mullen Board Room. The newest treatment for endometriosis will be presented by Dr. John Harrington. 1.8 contact hours will be available for nurses. Saturday, January 22, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m., Third Floor Mullen Classroom, "Totsaver," is a CPR certification class for infants and toddlers. Fee: 515 per person. Wednesday, February 2, 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Assembly Rooms, "Hormone Replacement. Therapy." Learn about the trends and recommendations in hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Donna Okuda, obstetrician and gynecologist, will conduct the presentation and will allow ample time for questions. 1.8 contact hours are available for nurses. Options Options is the cosmetic and plastic surgery center at Saint ^flv Joseph Hospital. Anyone inter- 'QJP ested in cosmetic surgery is invited to attend a class of his or her choice.
