About this collection

Following the Twin Towers Quarterly, a monthly newsletter was created for all employees of Saint Joseph Hospital, the Employee Bulletin.  Its contents consisted of small tidbits and news items such as personnel policies and changes, news of promotions and re-assignments; and especially status updates on the on-going construction of the "new" Twin Towers building, for which the groundbreaking occured on October of 1961.

First issued in February of 1961, the Employee Bulletin was initially a 2 to 4 page publication printed on plain pink paper, with the iconic drawing of the 1964 Twin Towers already as its masthead. Later issues would be printed mostly on regular white paper and would include more pages with photographs. The last Employee Bulletin is dated April of 1966, after which editorship was transferred to the Public Relations Department, and the publication was officially renamed the TowerScope.
